Hmong Village, founded in October 2010, aims to be the Twin Cities’ premier shopping hub for the Hmong community. Our mission is to offer exceptional goods and services, aspiring to lead in the shopping center and office rental sectors within our community. The initiative began with nine local Hmong entrepreneurs who, using their savings and loans from family, transformed a former school district building into a thriving marketplace. This market now supports over 600 jobs and houses 320 businesses, including restaurants, retail shops, and professional services. Despite economic challenges, these founders invested $3.2 million to develop a community cornerstone that celebrates and nurtures Southeast Asian cultures.
